چکیده

Abstract Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici , is one of the most devastating diseases wheat worldwide. This study dealt with investigating biocontrol activity mycorrhizal colonization and/or application Streptomyces viridosporus HH1 against stripe rust wheat. In vitro, data showed that S. had a strong anti-spore germination effect on uredospores P. (90% reduction) . A 84.2% reduction in disease severity was achieved infected plants, which were colonized fungi and sprayed HH1. Molecular investigation revealed upregulated defensive genes ethylene response factor protein 3 ( JERF3 ) 20.7-fold, chitinase II (13.6-fold), β -1,3-glucanase (9.8-fold). Furthermore, led to significant increase antioxidant enzymes peroxidase (52.3%), polyphenol oxidase (106.9%), catalase (87.9%). The phenolic content also increased due HH1, while lipid peroxidation decreased leaves. mitigation adverse effects infection photosynthetic pigments leaves noticed. Observations from transmission electron microscopy different hypersensitivity reactions induced ultrastructural level cells this treatment. addition, growth-promoting reported. It can be concluded spraying have promising Field evaluation necessary future studies before use recommendation.

TaRar1 Is Involved in Wheat Defense against Stripe Rust Pathogen Mediated by YrSu

RAR1 is a eukaryotic zinc-binding protein first identified as required for race-specific resistance to powdery mildew in barley. To study the function of TaRAR1 involvement in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) defense against the infection of stripe rust pathogen Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst), we identified and cloned three wheat homeologous genes highly similar to the barley HvRar1, des...

TaARPC3, Contributes to Wheat Resistance against the Stripe Rust Fungus

The actin cytoskeleton participates in numerous cellular processes, including less-characterized processes, such as nuclear organization, chromatin remodeling, transcription, and signal transduction. As a key regulator of actin cytoskeletal dynamics, the actin related protein 2/3 complex (Arp2/3 complex) controls multiple developmental processes in a variety of tissues and cell types. To date, ...

Monitoring Wheat Stripe Rust Using Remote Sensing Technologies in China

Many studies on remote sensing monitoring of plant diseases have been conducted. Remote sensing (RS) has played an important role in monitoring some kinds of plant diseases and making decisions for the management of the diseases. Progress on remote sensing monitoring of wheat stripe rust in China was summarized from four aspects including remote sensing monitoring stripe rust of single wheat le...

Genetic analysis and molecular mapping of wheat genes conferring resistance to the wheat stripe rust and barley stripe rust pathogens.

ABSTRACT Stripe rust is one of the most important diseases of wheat and barley worldwide. On wheat it is caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici and on barley by P. striiformis f. sp. hordei Most wheat genotypes are resistant to P. striiformis f. sp. hordei and most barley genotypes are resistant to P. striiformis f. sp. tritici. To determine the genetics of resistance in wheat to P. stri...

TaMAPK4 Acts as a Positive Regulator in Defense of Wheat Stripe-Rust Infection

Highly conserved mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascades regulate numerous plant processes, including hormonal responses, stress, and innate immunity. In this research, TaMAPK4 was predicted to be a target of tae-miR164. We verified the binding and suppression of TaMAPK4 by co-expression in Nicotiana benthamiana. Moreover, we found TaMAPK4 was localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus usi...
